This project will be working with children and families living with autism. This initiative was influenced by Jan W. Cendese’s experiences treating an 11 year old autistic girl and her mother. The improvement and healing, as well as the increased coping behavior by both the daughter and her mother sparked the idea to provide experiences and service to a wider base of families living with autism.

The project will start on Saturday, June 20th with a one day Introductory Workshop for the parents, followed by a series of 10 Table Sessions given five days apart. We are excited about this project and realize it is a significant time commitment. However, for the services to reach their potential effectiveness, we are asking for each family to commit to attending the Workshops and Table Sessions.

Table Sessions consist of subtle energy work which is directed by certified TAO Energy Facilitators. This energy work uses light hands-on touch of fully clothed participants who lie on a massage table. Past participants expressed a range of experiences from a sense of light to deep meditation to sleep to quiet relaxation. Those individuals who are sensitive to their energetic fields may experience a tingling or a sensation similar to a slight shiver, warmth or relieving coolness. During Table Sessions facilitators pay attention to energy vibrations related to density, that director the facilitators to enhance, reconnect or expand the state of the tissues, energy fields and patterns. This, at the very least, promotes relaxation, relief and fosters a sense of well-being. The Table Sessions work best with children that can give some cooperation by lying on a massage table for a short duration. We believe this will be easier for older children and have made this the only requirement for the first 12 participants.

The Table Sessions will be conducted by 4 teams; each team will consist of 2 TAO Energy Facilitators and in some cases a possible third person assisting as well as a volunteer coordinator.
