Dear TAO Foundation Members,

We wish Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to each of you!

This is the Director’s letter for the fourth quarter of 2006 and the end of the year

This year has been a busy and productive one. You all have reason to be proud of what the TAO Foundation has been able to do with your membership and contributions.

A brief recap of the year’s service is as follows:

  • Three public workshops were given to approximately 120 people. The theme of the workshops was “Learn To Boost Your Immune System” and 100% of the participants answered on the evaluation that they would recommend this workshop to others in the future.
  • The research initiative involving 20 women diagnosed with breast cancer and in treatment was completed with great success. 95% of the participants rated the table sessions as a 7 on a scale of 1 (meaning Very Poor) to 7 (meaning Excellent). At this time, I want to formally thank all of you for your professional, energetic and financial support. We couldn’t have done it without your involvement. And, specifically special acknowledgement and gratitude go to Beryl Feinglass who was instrumental in the success of the Foundation’s creation, our service initiatives and funding. Through her passionate encouragement, constant support and wisdom the Foundation secured the Symington grant and developed a design for the initiatives that were vastly effective and inspired. Also, many thanks go to Sally Churgel, Nili Tzarnotzky, Mary Ellen Rayner, Geoffrey Leigh, Marva Beesley, Jack Gardner, Melene Rose, Jasmine Weaver, Tori Skiles, Kim Stein and Ivan Cendese for all of their devoted, loving, cheerful work, service and support to make the research initiative and workshops and the whole implementation of the Symington grant a great success.
  • The research of the above mentioned initiative included measurements from a Gas Discharge Visualization Computerized Kirlian Camera. We were able to collect an amazing amount of data from the participants’ finger tips before and after their three table sessions over a three week period. The data is impressive and Geoffrey Leigh is now analyzing all of the material. Once the data has been analyzed, Geoff and I will begin to write it up for publication.
  • We have been accepted by the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM) to give a presentation on the august cancer research initiative at their annual conference in Boulder, Colorado on June 24, 2007.
  • The final report to the Symington Foundation was submitted on October 1, 2006. They were very pleased and deeply impressed with the quality and impact of the whole year’s program.
  • We gained visibility through our community based partnerships. And, we were able to establish new relationships with several other organizations that are interested in working with us in the future.

As we move forward into the New Year, we want you involved on any level in the following possibilities on the horizon:

  • The Foundation has been asked by the Utah State Office of Education to present a workshop on “Self Care” to approximately 300 educators at their annual conference in January 2007. This will be exciting to produce and will encourage even more visibility and partnerships for the Foundation in the future.
  • The Foundation plans to produce a project working with children diagnosed with autism and a project working with women diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.
  • We will focus heavily on grant writing, fund raising and obtaining private donations.
  • We will actively expand our membership and encourage the utilization of their professional and creative resources.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you that have so freely contacted me and given your ideas, brainstorming, contacts, involvement and financial support. It has been great to continue a relationship with you, and your support continues to bolster my energy to get the Foundation and its mission and information out to the world. I look forward to our continued sharing, communication and collaboration in the New Year. Our spirit, enthusiasm and devotion to the mission of the Foundation are growing and expanding. Your vital energy and passionate involvement continue to enhance and strengthen the spirit in which the Foundation was created.

Blessings to all of you,

In love and light,

Jan Cendese, LCSW, LMT, Certified IA®, APP
