Dear TAO Foundation Founding Members,

Happy New Year! Since my last letter on October 17, 2005 I have sent you “The Effects of Integrated Awareness® With Breast Cancer Patients: A Report for the Integrated Awareness Community”. It had a pink cover with the University of Nevada, Reno Logo and the Foundation’s Logo. I hope you received it and found it useful or informative. We now have the article written and submitted to The Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine. This article is available for purchase through the Foundation for $7.50 plus shipping. And, as of Friday, January 20, 2006 the foundation will have a land-line that you can call to order or leave messages. The number will be 801-532-4298. It is the beginning of establishing an actual site for the foundation other than my cell phone and P.O. Box.

For those of you who might not know, we did receive a $5,000.00 grant from the Lloyd Symington Foundation to do continued IA classes for cancer patients and their care givers, one public workshop and one more research initiative. The actual dates for these events have not been decided yet. We think that the one day public workshop will be in the spring of 2006 and we will do the second research initiative in the fall 2006. I am talking to some private parties about matching this grant and looking into applying for two more grants. So, I have some other good news. I have an assistant!!!!! She is volunteering for trade of table sessions for herself, friends and family. Her name is Jen Leigh and she is Geoffrey Leigh’s daughter. So, you maybe hearing from her and/or meet her when you come out to work on a project/initiative.

In accordance with Article 4 of the By-Laws we had an election of the Board of Directors for the next two years. Geoffrey Leigh, W. Ivan Cendese, Kimberly Lajoie and I were re-elected. We want to acknowledge and thank Lansing B. Gresham for his service to the foundation during a critical formative stage and his creative impact and genius in the conception and creation of Integrated Awareness.

2005 has been a year with many changes in my life, both positive and challenging. I am in gratitude for all the successes and miracles my life has had this past year. I have also had the demanding opportunity and challenge to stare my limitations right in the face. This whole past year I have been working out how to deal with my limitations and needs as a human being. This search has led me to make radical changes in my priorities, my commitments and the way I live my life. And, to this end, I made the very difficult choice to resign from involvement in some IA community activities. I feel good about having freed up my energies and time to work on taking care of myself here at home and “growing” the foundation for all of us. Thank you so much for your support in the TAO foundation! Your energy, interest and involvement are enhancing the spirit in which the foundation is growing.

Wishing you the best in each moment,

Jan Cendese
