Launch of promotion exercise


Publication of Administrative Notice (30 April) + communication of promotion possibilities to DGs.


From 2 May


Consultation of ROs


Directors have to consult the ROs under their responsibility.


By 21 May


Comparison of merits


Senior management meetings to discuss staff to be proposed for promotion.


By 1 June


Discussion with staff reps


Each Director-General will discuss their promotion proposals with representatives nominated by the Central Staff Committee.


18 June


Proposals sent to Joint Promotion Committee and communicated to staff


In Sysper2, you will be able to see the promotion proposals for all grades in your DG.


25 June


Deadline for making an appeal against non promotion


You have 5 workings days to appeal if you wish to, not including days when you could not access Sysper2, starting from the date of communication of the promotion proposals.


Early September


Preparatory groups for the Committes (JPCs)


AD group + AST group separately examine all staff eligible for promotion grade by grade & make proposal for final list for promotion & decision on all appeals, taking into account DG proposals & appeals


End September


Joint Promotion Committees


JPC AD & AST meet to consider recommendations of their preparatory groups & to make final recommandations to AIPN.
