Short Bio

I am a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). I received my PhD degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia. I have also worked as an academic research visitor (short term) in 2013, 2014 and 2015 in the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2017 in the RMIT University, Australia, and in 2019 at Monash University, Australia. My research interest falls in the area of data management and analytics, ubiquitous computing, spatial databases and privacy. I have published my works on premium venues like Ubicomp, CIKM, EDBT, Pervasive and Mobile Computing, WWW Journal, TSAS and Information Systems. In 2017, I received the prestigious OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Award for Early-Career Women Scientists in the Developing World in Engineering Sciences.
