I'm a mathematician at the School of Mathematics, TIFR, Mumbai. Previously, I was postdoctoral fellow at the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe located in Kashiwa near Tokyo, Japan. I did my undergraduate studies at the Indian Statistical Institute in Bangalore. I did my Ph.D. under the supervision of Vladimir Drinfeld at the University of Chicago. I have also been a post-doc at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.

My main area of research is representation theory, in particular the theory of character sheaves. Click here for more about my research interests.
