Welcome to Tanglewood Lake Community located in Bainbridge Township, Geauga County Ohio, about thirty minutes from both Cleveland and Akron.   Our scenic development of 575 single family home and condominiums is built upon rolling forested hills around a beautiful lake, beach, and championship golf course.  Our children attend one of the best school systems in the state.  The Kenston School System is consistently rated excellent with distinction and is located on a multi-building campus containing up-to-date buildings, sports fields, and a new High School.  We have convenient shopping and access to major freeways within minutes.  Our community is unique in that we operate our own municipal style water company.  We own the water, treat it, and offer it to our residents for a substantially lower rate than surrounding community water companies.  Our water is considered among the best quality in the area.  We are an active and inclusive community with a social events calendar, involved association board, and social club.  Thanks for visiting.

  • 3/6/15 Tanglewood News By Daniel Foster as printed from Spirit of Bainbridge
Here are some notes from the TLA Annual Meeting. We had a decent turnout despite the sub-zero temperatures and snow covered roads. Kenny Didier, TLA President opened the meeting by commending outgoing trustees Steve Polien, Mark Panzica, and Ellen Klaiber. He also commended Bonnie Bernstein for her success as the 2014 TLA Beach Manager. Guest speaker Mark Tiefel, TCC partner, spoke about 2014 Golf Course improvements including course drainage repairs, installing a new practice range & clubhouse exterior deck, and other clubhouse renovations. He announced 2015 plans for renovating the Pro shop. He also announced an expansion of the catering business in partnership with Normandy Catering. The plans include in-home catering to TLA residents. Sounds interesting. Police chief Jon Bokovitz asked for support for a proposed Bainbridge Township levy in 2017. The last levy was in 2007. He explained that about 20% of our property tax dollars support the road, police, fire and government services in our community. The police department receives about 7% of the total to operate 18 officers & 7 staff employees. “We’ve got a good crew, please support us!” Dick Howard spoke for the Tanglewood Water Division. 2014 was a good year. The special one year assessment funded new pumps that minimize water percussion damage. The result was no water main breaks in 2014! These breaks were costing TLA up to $30K per repair in previous years so this is very good news. Dick encourages interested residents to call him for a tour of the TLA water treatment plant. Susan McAndrews, TLA Treasurer reported a surplus in our finances for 2014. She estimates paying off the LCP loan in about 4 more years, much faster than the original 10 year note. Kenny summarized committee reports as reported in our last newsletter. Trustee Andy Walters introduced newly voted trustees Laura Rees, Stephanie Silla & Debra Lieberman. We wish them success. Food, drinks and fellowship that followed with was a welcome diversion from winter hibernation!

  • Annual Meeting February 19, 2015
The TLA Annual Meeting will be held at the Tanglewood Club, 7pmThursday, February 19th so please mark your calendars! Like previous years, we will mix business with pleasure by combining our required business meeting with a social mixer! Directly after the business meeting we will provide catered refreshments and drinks, (cash bar).  It’s a great opportunity to find out what’s happening in Tanglewood, vote for the new trustees, ask questions, and enjoy the company of your neighbors.  If last years experience is any indication, this should be an enjoyable event. Come out of winter hibernation for the evening and join your neighbors!
