5th Grade Legacy Art for Sale
5th Grade Legacy Artwork
Approx 105 students became the artist for the day as each young artist was asked to express "What Matters." The questions delved into what is the same and what is different about being the ages 9-12 during this time in our culture, in this community, and this sub culture identified through a local public school. Every Artist was eager to have "their space" and for "their" voice to heard and captured. The paint brush became the recording device as every student had equal time to express their unique voice. This piece tells the story of the energy and enthusiasm our young people embody. Their excitement is authentic as they are living as stewards "YOLO" and the idea that life is only for the creation of "What Matters!"
The original art piece will be shown and is available for purchase at:
Brand C. Studio

A message from the PTA
Do you have an opinion about funding for Texas schools? Your voice is key to our efforts to pass laws that protect and enhance the lives of the children of Texas, offering educational opportunity to all.
Legislators are more likely to consider your opinions as a constituent than almost any other.
Get in touch with your representative and let them know how you feel about funding for public schools.
To find your Texas State Representative and your Texas State Senator visit http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/.
The most important thing to remember is that your voice is important. You CAN and you DO make a difference when you decide to use your voice. Stay involved!
