Terms to Know!
Beat:  the steady pulse of music

Rhythm:  pattern of note values
Pitchthe level of sound; how high or low the quality of a tone
Interval:  the distance between two pitches
Scale:  a series of pitches arranged up by step
Arpeggio:  a series of pitches arranged by skip

Unison:  sounding the same pitch, or repeating the same pitch
Harmony:  combining sounds of different pitch

Melody:  the main (or principal) line of music
Resta silent space in music
Dipthong:  two vowels sounding in one syllable
Legatonotes sung in a long (sustained) style
Staccato:  notes sung in separated (detached) style
