Our next meeting is scheduled for next Thursday, February 9th.
Through the graciousness of our partner, INIE and its Director, Jessica Lowe-Minor, we will be meeting at the TCC Center For Innovation, located immediately behind City Hall (In the Old Brogan Museum) on the corner of Duval and Pensacola Streets. Our speaker will be Dr. Larry Rivers, who will address us on "Women of Florida". Dr. Rivers is an accomplished historian and always in demand as a speaker. I'm sure our crowd will be quite large.
The best part of this location is that the building has been completely remodeled and the meeting room is not only spectacular, but it's on the Plaza level ! --all thanks to Jessica. This facility is destined to be a sought-after treasure by our community, and I believe we will be the first to use it. It will seat a very large crowd comfortably -- you'll love it!
We'll first meet for a reception and conversation with our speaker at 6:30 p.m. on the third floor. Everyone can enjoy themselves there and also see the Alvin Harper photographic exhibit that covers Tallahassee's "Gilded Age" (1885-191). Following this, we will then return to the Plaza conference room for our program that will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Because of the expected crowd, please feel free to bring an appetizer, etc., to supplement our usual refreshments (it would be appreciated and welcomed!). It should be an exciting and enjoyable evening for all.
See you there!
