The City of Tallahassee will be hosting the annual MLB
Pitch, Hit & Run local competition on Saturday, March 29 from 9:00-12:00 at
Tom Brown Park as part of their Youth Opening Day events. The event is free and open to all ages 7-14. This is a
great opportunity for local kids to participate in a national competition
with the chance to go to the all-star game in Minneapolis this summer. The City of Tallahassee has been represented by several kids from our area who have advanced to the all-star game the last several
years. Attached is a flyer with more information, and below is a link to the website for more
information, including the opportunity to pre-register online. If you have any questions, please contact Brian Smatt at (850) 891-3837.
The Meridian Park Board will be allowing one volunteer to sign up to work in the concession stand each early and late game during the spring season. If your child is in need of volunteer hours during the spring, please click on the online signup at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/508094BABAE22AA8-spring3 to schedule them for the days and/or times that they intend to work. Be sure to indicate the name of the student worker so that the board member on duty knows who to expect that evening.
Eric Mountin will be the board member to contact for student volunteer hours. He can be reached at (850) 321-5925 or email@example.com for volunteer related questions or concerns.
