Chattanooga BSA History & Memorabilia

I am researching the history of the Chattanooga, Tennessee Boy Scouts (and surrounding areas).  I am eager to preserve stories, photographs, scrapbooks, paperwork, and memorabilia (patches, awards, neckerchiefs, uniforms, etc.) related to Scouting in Chattanooga.

I am particularly interested in the Sea Scouts, Order of the Arrow, Jamborees, summer camps, and other aspects of Scouting life.

Click on the links on the left side of the page to learn more about various topics.

If you were a Chattanooga Boy Scout, I would be interested in hearing from you!  Drop me a line and let me know what troop you were in, where you went to summer camp, what rank you achieved, and what memories or memorabilia you have saved from your time in the program.  Contact me at ChattanoogaBSAHistory@gmail.com.

One of the earliest known photographs of Chattanooga Boy Scouts.
This likely was the Drum and Bugle Corps led by Mrs. Susan Hannah Wells Stagmaier in the early 1910s.
