Prices include: all ground transport (usually by quality 8-seater van) within Taiwan, any domestic flights and ferries. Accommodation in twin-bed en-suite rooms, all meals, drinking water, snacks, tolls, entrance fees and permits to parks, and the services of the leader throughout. No surprise extra charges.
Excluded: international flights, optional pre/post-tour accommodation, insurance, alcoholic drinks, and items of a purely personal nature.
Deposit: 15%. Single supplement: approx 15%.

Group size: minimum of 2 and maximum 7, usually 3-6.
Our lodgings: vary from good to excellent, but all are within easy reach of the areas we wish to bird, eliminating long traveling at prime times. To ensure maximum time for birding, lunches and snacks will either be at small restaurants or picnic lunches.
Weather conditions: will hopefully be good (dry) at most times of year scheduled. Expect warm and humid conditions down low, and cool or cold at higher elevations.

Please note these tours are focused on seeing the largest range of bird species possible in a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable manner. Should we be forced to change or alter the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances; we will attempt to adhere as close to the original program as possible. Unless otherwise indicated, tours start in the morning in Taipei, and end in the evening in Taipei (evening/night departing flights possible).
Walking: The walking effort is easy to moderate, with some optional longer walks on roads and tracks. Bird photography opportunities are usually quite good.
There will be free WiFi available throughout..
We supply relevant maps, field guides and checklists. The best field guide for the region in English available overseas is Mark Brazil’s 'Birds of East Asia'. Flora, insect, other fauna guides in vehicle.

Tell us in advance of any special requirements or requests, we are (usually) happy to accommodate. More than happy to allow some time for other flora and fauna.
