The Tahoe Donner Hiking Club is organized to accomplish the following purposes:

a.      To furnish pleasure and recreation to its members in connection with hiking;

b.      To foster appreciation for hiking, backpacking and “leave no trace” principles;

c.      To encourage fitness and friendship while hiking.
            Hikes include short, intermediate and long weekday hikes, as well as away trips (including International trips) and backpacking trips.
            The club's philosophy is to HIKE YOUR OWN PACE.
            All hike leaders are encouraged to accommodate individual differences in interests, ability, hiking pace, etc. On point-to-point hikes, slower hikers can leave their cars at trail's end so they don't feel the need to "keep up" with faster hikers.

Note: In 2017, the Club is not accepting new members who do not own property in Tahoe Donner.
