Tahir Suleman is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the Department of Accounting and Finance, University of Otago. He obtained his PhD. (Finance) from Victoria University of Wellington. He also holds M.Sc. Quantitative Finance from Hanken School of Economics, Finland and MS Financial Economics from the University of Skovde, Sweden. Tahir also served as Vice president of the postgraduate student association Victoria University of Wellington.

He has been actively involved in research and teaching activities. Tahir's areas of research include energy and climate finance, political uncertainty, corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, FinTech innovation and decentralised finance, and financial econometrics. My written and analytical ability can be evaluated from the research work that has been published in good quality journals such as Energy Economics, Journal of Forecasting, Pacific-Basin Finance, and European Journal of Finance. Following the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) ranking system, I published 35 journal articles (6 A*, 13 A and 17 B Rank journals). He has presented his work at the leading international finance conferences around the globe, such as AFBC, Global Finance, New Zealand Association of Economists, New Zealand Finance Colloquium, New Zealand Econometric Study Group Meeting, IV Financial Research Conference IMEF, Mexico, WEAI, Australasian Finance and Banking Conference, Australia.
