About

T

he Menlo Park Library Teen Advisory Group, or T.A.G., is a group of teens who meet at the Menlo Park Library once a month to discuss and plan teen related events in the library. In this dynamic group, members are able to get community service, make new friends, practice organizational skills and have a good time! T.A.G. members help create, plan and implement Teen programs, advise Librarian in collection development for the Teen collection, write book reviews and advocate for the Library.

T.A.G. meets once a month on Saturdays from 3:00-4:30 pm in the Menlo Park Library. During the meeting we will discuss and plan upcoming activities, talk about good books and websites, and ways the libraries can help teens. In addition, T.A.G. plans teen programs by brainstorming, marketing and publicity.

If you have a  great idea for improving the library, are  between the ages of 12-18, and are willing to make a year commitment to attend monthly meetings and participate in programs, get involved and join T.A.G. today! You will be given community service hours for any of the time you spend on T.A.G. and helping with events.

See the attachment below for more details about the expectations and commitment required of a T.A.G. member. Or simply click here.

Details regarding meeting times are posted on the calendar of events.
