(2010-)
I am currently working for NVIDIA. 
I am working on projects related to physical simulations and realtime visual effects, such as PhysX and NVIDIA GameWorks.


 
(2003-2010)
I was a Principal Graphics Scientist and software lead for technical animation and creature F/X at Rhythm and Hues Studios for 8 years, writing various software tools for over 80 Hollywood films.

Examples of my work at R&H include cloth simulator for X-men2(2003), hair simulator for Garfield (2004), Ring 2 (2004), The Chronicles of Narnia (2005), water software for Cat in the Hat (2003), The Superman Returns (2005), and Happy Feet (2006), rigid body solver for Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007), Mummy 3 (2008), metal crash solver for the Incredible Hulk (2008), visco-elastic fluid solver for Knight and Day (2010).
I also wrote various animation tools for Night and Museum 1,2, Golden Compass (2008), Vampire's Assistance (2009), Aliens in the Attic (2009), Yogi Bear (2010).
 
(1995-2002)

Prior to R&H, I was a graduate student at U.S.C.
I did research on facial animation, virtual reality, and hair modeling.
I received an M.S (1997) and a Ph. D (2002) in Computer Science from U.S.C.
My advisor was Ulrich Neumann and I was lucky to be around such talented people like Mathieu Desbrun and J.P Lewis

 
(1991-1995)
 I graduated from Seoul National University in 1995.

I was born in Pusan, the second largest city in Korea and grew up there until
i moved to Seoul for my college.
