I am a research scientist/senior economist with the Center for Social and Economic Research (CESR) at the University of Southern California and an adjunct senior economist at the RAND Corporation. My research primarily focuses on exploring the socio-economic determinants and behavioral risk factors associated with obesity and related chronic diseases, including dementia, throughout one's lifespan. Additionally, I evaluate how policy and medical interventions can be employed to prevent or manage these conditions.
Before joining CESR, I served as a senior economist at the RAND Corporation. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a BSc in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.
