The National Honor Society, founded in 1921, is an organization that was created to recognize and encourage students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of academics, character, leadership, and service. Thousands of chapters exist across the nation. Membership in the Taconic Hills Chapter of the National Honor Society is granted to juniors and seniors who are selected by members of the high school faculty. The selection process follows the guidelines set forth by the Constitution of the National Honor Society selection. A student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 88%. Additionally, members must meet high standards of leadership, service and character. A faculty member serves as the chapter adviser.

Petition for Weighted Grades (Posted June 18)

On June 4, 2014 the Taconic Hills National Honor Society voted 20-0 to support this petition for  weighted grades.  It will therefore be presented to the Board of Education on Wed. June 18.
