A template for the way I format my crostics (as of crostic 4 or so). If you don't have the Fontsite fonts, you can use cmbright (see crostic 1 for what that looks like). There's some TeX wizardry in there to get the columns to look right with linebreaks, etc.
Takes the quote and gives a file with all the letters sorted, like "AAAAAAAAAA BBB CCCCCCC" etc. Useful for crossing off as you build your answer list. Should be run from the command line like "lettercounter < file_with_quote_in_it", and writes to a file called "lettercount". (Of course, since you have the source, you can always change that behavior....)
The main deal: takes a list of clues and numbers, generates TeX source for the clues and a Postscript diagram for the crostic itself (with TeX numbering -- this means the numbers are not in the .eps file itself). Does some basic sanity checking (has a square been used in two different clues).
