Welcome to Prof. Srinivas Yaragorla's  laboratory at                                      School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad

Dr. Srinivasarao Yaragorla
Assistant Professor
Gurbaksh Singh Building
W-16, 17; School of Chemistry
University of Hyderabad, 500046, India

Research Interests: Synthesis of biologically important molecules "Privileged Scaffolds"
Alkyne tethered inter and intramolecular annulations
Sustainable Catalysis
Medicinal Chemistry
Asymmetric Total Synthesis

Most of the current drugs that are available in the market are natural products or their derivatives or their mimics. the isolation of the natural products from nature is ecologically and economically not favorable, the amount of the compound that isolated may not be sufficient for its full spectrum of biological screenings, hence there is always a great need for the Total Synthesis for the Drug Discovery. The molecules/targets will be selected based on the interesting mechanism of action and molecular complexity for diversity-oriented synthesis.
