    A recording failure means that Wednesday's lecture wasn't recorded, but I wrote a PowerPoint and saved it as a pdf and linked it to the class lecture page.  It is password protected using the class dropbox password.

  • Prep for Friday and Homework
    Start working through sentences 1-15 in exercise 1 of the workbook section of chapter 4.  We will discuss them in class on Friday and Monday and you will need to turn your work in on Wednesday, 2 April.

  • Next Quiz
    The next quiz is scheduled for class on Wednesday, 19 February.  The quiz will ask you to draw trees for a couple of sentences, provide an argument for the constituency of a particular string, and discuss either polarity items or binding theory in terms of c-command.  Bring questions to class on Wednesday!
