Bottle Shock Revisited:  a wine tasting looking at pinot noir and more!
08 Dec 2018, 3:00 - 5:00 pm
1511 SW Park Ave, Portland

Join our local Columbia Willamette Chapter of Sigma Xi for our annual terroir tasting of Oregon wines!  Join local terroirist, Scott Burns of the PSU Geology Department, as we relive the days of the famous taste tests comparing American and French wines made famous the in the movie, Bottle Shock!  We will compare three Oregon Pinot Noirs (same winemaker, same year on 3 different parent materials) to see how terroir tastes!  Then, we will taste three pinot noir wines from Burgundy, France.  Compare American and French pinot noirs!

Of course, Scott will also have a nice array of Oregon white wines and heavy red wines, all from Oregon.  We will have lots of goodies to eat to go with the wines and about 15 different wines in total for this tasting.  Have fun and join us for a wonderful couple of hours of sipping and learning about terroir!

To participate, email Tom Hard, hardt {a~t} pdx.edu for reservation. Spaces are limited. Please pay at the door ($30) with cash, check, or credit card.
