SWoRD is a web-based reciprocal peer review system used throughout the world to support writing instruction from high school through graduate school. It enables classrooms that already have writing to do more effective writing instruction, and it also enables classrooms that have no writing due to insufficient grading/feedback resources to add writing.
SWoRD was developed at LRDC and is now licensed by Panther Learning Systems under the name of Peerceptiv. As the University has licensed the right to provide this service to persons outside the University to Peerceptiv, persons seeking such services should contact Peerceptiv at: http://www.peerceptiv.com
This site provides an overview of prior and ongoing research with SWoRD, with prior support from Andrew Mellon Foundation and the University of Pittsburgh, and current support from NSF and IES.
