Galien River

The Galien River is a small river in far Southwest Michigan. It flows into Lake Michigan at New Buffalo and can be paddled from Red Arrow Highway to Lake Michigan. This is about 3.0 miles of paddling through a nice marshy area before entering the New Buffalo marina area. You can also paddle up river from Red Arrow Highway for another 3 miles through woody and residential areas. The map below shows three access points.
