Established in 1972, SMC is a friendly club which caters for mixed abilities in a wide range of outdoor pursuits involving hills/mountains, such as rock climbing, mountaineering, hill walking, mountain biking, adventure racing and skiing.

Members of the club regularly meet for climbing and bouldering on Tuesdays from 19:30-22:00 at Rockstar Climbing Centre in Stratton. So if you want to meet us, that's one place to find us!

We also have a social gathering the second Tuesday of each month from 21:00. This is normally at the Wheatsheaf Ale House pub in Swindon's Old Town, but check with us beforehand!

Club meets are organised most months to various parts of the UK. For more details, see the meets page.

You can also find us on Facebook!
