Claire Covington

Life For Rent

Claire Covington may be new on the Acoustic scene, but she's making a name for herself as an outstanding performer with vocals that are pure, soft, passionate and inviting, yet strong and powerful with a husky edge challenging her to take any song and make it her own. With Claire, what you see is what you get, no backing tracks and performing solo, she is a self taught guitarist and a natural born singer. What's unusual is that she's only been performing for 11 months. She got her first booking with her nephew Joe, sharing the evening with Acoustic and Electric sets. Although they still share gigs both Claire and Joe tend to have their own venues now. She has come a long way in a short time , now fully booked until 2008.

Head Over Feet

She has just finished recording her first CD at the Real World Studios in Box, owned by Peter Gabriel, who formally fronted Genesis. It is an eleven track disc with classic covers such as A WHITER SHADE OF PALE, FOLLOW YOU FOLLOW ME and VINCENT, but also original tracks of her own such as BE STILL, MEMORIES OF GOLD and ALL THAT I AM. It is a beautifully put together, relaxing, easy listening Cd with carefully chosen songs so that all ages can enjoy. Bob Bowles is her guest accompanying her on guitar on five of the tracks. The CD with be available early June and may be purchased at her gigs, by contacting her on myspace or at http://www.clairecovington.com

Caution Is For Girls

Amanda's Calling

Perfect View

It all began in a little toy shop in Swindon on a Summers Day in July.....Chris asked Kaye if she'd like to be in a band with him and his brother. Kaye really wanted to do it but didn't think she'd have the confidence to, so she said that she would consider it, and months went by. Kaye left the little toy shop a couple of months later and lost contact with Chris for a while. Anyway, when Kaye's friend, Vikki, passed her driving test, they went to a bar one evening to see Chris & Luke. That evening, Chris & Luke asked Kaye if she would like to sing in their band, and Kaye said, "Yes, of course!". They arranged a practice, and the rest as they say is history.. Or is it? After a couple of practices, Luke's bandmate (from a previous band, Sway), Alec, joined Kaye, Chris, and Luke to give a little bass to the music. Very quickly, he became the bands temporary bassist. After a successful audition Kyle became the permanent bassist and Alec switched to second guitar...
