The club committee manages the administrative tasks for club members and may delegate certain specific duties to sub-committees or working groups. Examples of the tasks undertaken include;
Provision and financing of coaches and training facilities and equipment.
Consultation with coaching team to determine type and duration of training required, development of swimming timetable and any other extra training requirements.
Organisation of membership, SI registration and supervision for training sessions.
Proposals and implementation for fee structures and fundraising to meet financing needs.
Collection of SI and Club membership fees.
Organisation, entry to and collection of fees for galas organised under SI.
Note: this excludes the National and Senior School Championships and the Community Games.
Providing support for swimmers and parents in accordance with SI guidelines.
Providing information about the club to its members, member’s families and the general public. This includes the AGM, any EGM’s and other meetings.

Complete SI gala entries in conjunction with coaches and swimmers.
Collect gala fees and submit gala entry sheet and payment to gala organiser.
Club Products Officer
Organise sales and stock of club products.
Public Relations Officer
Organisation, writing and submission of public relations information to relevant outside media agencies.
Liasion for media agencies seeking information about the club.
Liaison with statuary authorities such as the HSE and Gardai.
Sebastien Locteau – Head Coach and lead coach for National Group
Mike Moran – Lead Coach for A, B and C Groups
Marie Keane – Lead Coach for Masters team.
Mary Shannon – Lead Coach for Learn to Swim (Saturday morning) Group
The coaching team are responsible for organising the swimmers training programme and performance assessment, including;
Planning and submission of training programme to club committee.
Co-ordination and delivery of training programme in cooperation with the clubs committee for the provision of pool time and other required equipment/supervision.
Recommendation of swimmers placement in groups and swimming lanes within the club structure, as appropriate to the swimmers ability and agreed aims.
Gala entries, in accordance with gala entry conditions and with parental confirmation of swimmers availability to attend.
Consultation with parents as appropriate to discuss swimmers development and/or health concerns.
Wherever possible allocating a coach to attend each gala attended by club members that is under the organisation of Swim Ireland.
Coach Sebastien Locteau is the only Registered Level 3 Triathlon Coach and Tutor of Coaching Ireland (NCTC). He is also a registered Level 3 Swimming Coach with the English and Irish Amateur Swimming Association (ASA).Sebastien studied Sport and Science, Psychology. He has coached national athletes to international athletes; From World triathlon championship and european or world cup, to 100km ultra running world and european championship current 2012 high performance swimmers.
Sebastien coaching ability differs from other coaches; he is one of the rare talented Coach being able to coach athletes to a high standard in a few different sports. He also wrote and delivered the first accredited Level 1 Triathlon coaching course in Ireland. Sebastien only train a small amount of athletes every year, do seminars and club coaching session in swimming, triathlon and running. He also the man behind runireland.comSeb Locteau believe that each athtletes performance is personal to them. he could sell their performance for his own benefit, but he prefer to be the man in the back as any good coach do.

Mary was instrumental in founding the present Coman's Swimming Club in 2003. She spent long hours working with the Coral Leisure centre, with the club committee with getting a number of parents to get qualifications as swim teachers and assistant swim teachers courses, with child protection being a priority.
Co founder of CSC in 2002. Former competitive swimmer,club and inter provincial. Is currently a masters swimmer, and currently holds the Irish record for 100m free and 100fly in the age group. She coaches swimming and a former athletic coach. Recently she founded Roscommon masters swimming club in 2007.

John has a long history with the Original Roscommon Swimming club, and when the Comans swimming club was created in 2002 he came back and helped many swimmers to succeed in their sport career and certainly his guidance and advice will follow them all their life.
