Toasted Pecan Scones

18 scones

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup butter, soft
1 cup toasted chopped pecans
1 cup heavy cream
1 large egg
3 T cinnamon sugar

Preheat to 350 and lightly grease baking sheet

In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, and baking powder. 

Using pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.  Stir in pecans. 

In small bowl, combine cream and egg; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. 

On lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness. 

Using 2 inch round cutter, cut scones and place on baking sheet.

Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon sugar

Bake 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
