The trip to Boquete, Panama was a great success! We saw about 1000 patients over 4 days and had a lot of fun doing it!

I would like to thank everybody for their hard work during the mission trip! At the end of day 3, just before we were about to get on our bus after a day of work, there was a lady that wanted to get eye glasses. After talking to her, we found that she forgot her prescription at home and lives far up the hill. Regardless, she was ready to climb that distance just to see us.
Just like patients would do anything to see better, it was amazing to see all of you literally work your fingers to the bone, staying late until every last patient is taken care of. During our work we faced quite a few obstacles and it was incredible how everyone worked as a team to find a solution to these problems. We truly had a great team and a great group of people and I feel honored working beside all of you.
The fun part of the trip was just as fascinating. So many extraordinary experiences I keep losing count. I hope all of you enjoyed the trip as much as I did. Good job guys for making this trip a success.
Also, thanks for those of you who contributed despite not being able to make it on the trip this year. Please stay involved with SVOSH. With your help next year’s mission trip will be an experience to remember.
--- Good luck on your finals and beyond!
Greg Osherov, SVOSH President.
