The turning effect of a force is called the moment of the force.
It is a measure of the product of the force and the perpendicular distance from the line of action of force to the point in question (fulcrum)
The principle of moments states that for equilibrium, the sum of the moments in the clockwise direction equals the sum of the moments in the anticlockwise direction.
Σ Anticlockwise moments = Σ Clockwise moments.
How can I design an experiement to verify the principle of moments.
