I am an Associate Professor at the Oslo Business School at the Oslo Metropolitan University, specializing in climate economics and decision making under uncertainty. I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Oslo. Before joining Oslo Business School, I was an Assistant Professor at the School of Economics and Business at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and a Ciriacy-Wantrup Postdoctoral Fellow at the College of Natural Resources at the University of California, Berkeley.
My research examines how economic and geophysical uncertainties shape optimal climate policy. I work at the intersection of decision theory and integrated assessment modeling, investigating how uncertainty premia emerge and evolve. My work explores how preference specifications, damage representations, and learning dynamics interact and influence policy recommendations. By dissecting the mechanisms behind key modeling choices, I aim to clarify why some uncertainties drive strong policy responses while others do not—contributing to both scientific and policy debates.
In previous work, I have also studied the Green Paradox and its implications for climate policy.
