Elise - Jivamukti

" You cannot do yoga. Yoga is your natural state. What you can do are yoga exercises, which may reveal to you where you are resisting your natural state. " -Sharon Gannon

Elise Radtke-Rosen began practicing yoga in 2007 with the wonderful Chrissy Baker, and later took her first Jivamukti class with the amazing Rachel Hiltsley and was immediately hooked on the method. She took the Yoga Center of Minneapolis teacher training in 2011  and then graduated from the Jivamukti 300 hour teacher training in Costa Rica in 2012 where she met many howler monkeys, and her beautiful teachers Sharon Gannon, David Life and Jules Febre.

She believes in yoga as a way to heal relationships- relationships with other beings, and the relationship between the body and the mind. Yoga brings her mental and emotional peace, physical health and healing, and makes her a much nicer person to be around. She believes yoga is for all bodies and all abilities. If you can breathe, you can practice yoga.  She is immensely grateful to be practicing and teaching Jivamukti yoga and will forever be a student, always learning, always growing.

The highest light and love live within each of us and it is the only real teacher.

Alex McLaughlin - Yin Yoga

Alex is a yoga instructor, social worker, mama of two fur babies, and nature lover. Alex began practice yoga in 2010 for the grounding and centering aspects it offered. After practicing regularly, she noticed her mind would chatter less, she held less tension in her body and approached difficult situations with a greater sense of calm and adaptability. She also apprecaited the physical benefits; feeling more strength, agility, flexibility and overall comfort in her body which lead to a deeper awareness of her body and a desire to lead a healthier lifestyle. Alex believes that the time we spend on our mats is a sacred time; time to ground, center and become more in touch in our inner wisdom and true selves.

Seeing the benefits that yoga has brought to her life, Alex wanted to help others find more balance and connect with their true selves through this ancient practice. She recieved her 200-hour teacher training in August of 2016 through Green Lotus Yoga and Healing Center and recieved her Yin training in November of 2016. As a social worker by training, she teachers trauma-informed classes that are inclusive to all ethnic identities, gender identities, sexual identities, religious affiliations, body types, age and experience levels. Practicing Yin Yoga is a great way to balance a 21-century Yang-styled life, as well as more Yang practicies. She hopes that you leave each Yin classes feeling more grounded and refreshed.
