Suzanne is a writer, director, producer and facilitator based in Perth, Western Australia.  Her production company Fragmented Artists produced her critically acclaimed play Fragmented (awarded an honorable mention for the 2005/06 Larry Corse Award, United States) at the Blue Room Theatre in 2007.  She has been a KSP Writers Centre writer-in-residence, and also wrote and directed Winged Seeds about the Nobel Literature Prize-nominated author, Katharine Susannah Prichard for the KSP 25th anniversary Writing and Performance Festival in 2011. 

She was the 2011/2012 William Evans Playwriting Fellow at Otago University in Dunedin, New Zealand, where she produced and directed a new verbatim work based on the real life experiences of a group of Otago students (Wom!n in My Life), and wrote a new play commissioned as part of the University’s Lunch Time Theatre Program, Breathe Out and I Breathe You In

As director, she produced Jennifer Tremblay's award-winning play The List for the 2015 Perth Fringe Festival and took her critically acclaimed production touring around regional WA, in 2015 and 2016, funded under the Western Australian government's Royalties for Regions program. She was nominated Best Director for The List for the 2015 Performing Arts WA awards.

Suzanne has worked with many artists with disabilities and has facilitated workshops in movement and text with such artists for Back to Back Theatre Company (Victoria), Lung Ha Theatre Company (Edinburgh), DADAA WA, Nulsen Disability Services and the Joe Camilleri Centre, Scarborough.

Suzanne completed a PhD creative writing doctorate at Edith Cowan University, Perth, in 2012 and her book Shame and Apology in the Nation-State: Reflections and Remembrance is available for purchase through LAP Publishing.
