I am a postdoctoral scholar at the Field Museum studying the fossil record of mammals to uncover the ecological bases of their evolution and extinction. I believe such knowledge will help us better understand how biodiversity is generated, maintained, or lost.

A big part of my job is taking care of the museum's vertebrate paleontology collection. I unpack bags of fossils, identify bones, catalog specimens, and improve their storage conditions to ensure that the fossils are accessible to researchers of today and tomorrow.
