The Sustainability Funders organizes a variety of activities to
enhance the overall effectiveness of grantmaking in the field of
sustainable production and consumption. Membership in the workgroup
includes access to the following types of activities:
Funder briefings on timely and
relevant issues. Past briefings have focused on Extended Producer
Responsibility (EPR); impacts of the high tech industry; bottled water;
paper production and consumption; sustainability curricula in higher
education and more.
issues, such as:
- sustainability and the economy
- life cycle assessment
- choice editing
- bottled water
- paper industries
to provide information via listserv and e-newsletter,
networking opportunities, briefings and conference calls that emphasize
experiential learning, result-based actions and collaborative funding to
help strengthen the strategic and effectiveness of grantmaking.
Currently there are
no membership dues to join the Sustainability Funders (the workgroup is
presently supported through voluntary grants).
