Services
Sussex Outreach Services Food Pantry provides food, clothing and basic household items to our clients.
Registration
Updated 3/23/20 - Bring your ID and provide your address if you are new. You will use our drive thru for pre-boxed items. Please do not get out of your car and have trunk available to place food into. You can come once a week for food. We do not have clothing and household donations at this time.
In order to register for food pantry services, please present proof of current residency (for example, a current energy bill ) and a picture ID to the Food Pantry during distribution hours. Each family member must also present some type of documentation one time. This documentation includes medical cards, immunization records, birth certificates, passports, drivers license or state/military/tribal ID.
Use
Clients can visit the pantry two times per month. ID is required for every pantry visit. If you are unable to visit the pantry during regular hours, you can designate a proxy to come during pantry hours to shop for you. If you are homebound due to medical reasons, contact Jennifer at 262-347-3563
Food Pantry Current Needs
Donations
Donations may be dropped off at the Food Pantry from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Friday. Donation shed is locked, please do not leave any donations outside our doors.
We accept seasonally appropriate gently used clothing for children and adults, along with household items. We are unable to accept electronics and items larger than a microwave. We are not able to accept donations of furniture. If you have a main piece of furniture to donate (bed, couch, kitchen table and chairs), send a picture to Jennifer at director@sussexareasos.org or call John Haunfelder 262-442-4016. John is a member of the Sussex Area Service Club and may be able to help find a new home for your donated furniture. In order to donate furniture, you would need to allow us time to post pictures and find a home, so if you are short on time, you may need to find another location to donate to.
All of the clothing and housewares items are available to our clients at no cost to them. Your donations will help those in need right here in your own community. Having these items allow our clients access to vital items for their homes, in addition to the food that is provided.
SOS is an equal opportunity provider.
