About me

I came to yoga by a different path than many, having practiced martial arts for years before shifting my focus to yoga. I hold a fifth-degree black belt in Seido Karate, and teach in the children's program at Seido, as well as two weekly yoga classes for Seido members. I am a certified RYT-200 (Registry ID 116168) yoga teacher, having completed the Kula Flow Foundations 200-hour training at Kula Yoga Project in New York City. I am also a wife, mom of two boys, and caregiver for one doggie named Oreo (who practices urdhva and adho mukha svanasana regularly). Besides yoga and karate, I also enjoy reading, playing tennis, biking, and hiking. You can also find out more about my other interests by checking out my blog and tumblr. You can also follow me on twitter and pinterest. There's also facebook, google+instagram and foursquare, but honestly, who has time for all that.
