Learn A Language Today Open the Door to Tomorrow!
The Farsi language, also known as the Persian language, is the main language of Iran and is a significant language in Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Armenia, India and parts of southern Russia. With nearly 200 million speakers worldwide, and a rich literary heritage, it was selected as an official language by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, UNESCO.
The modern Farsi language is a direct descendent of the Old Persian, dating back to approximately the 6th century BC and making it the oldest living Iranian language.
In 2006, Surrey Persian School was established with the purpose of accommodating everyone who was interested learning to speak, read and write in Farsi. Our classes range from year 1 to year 5 (age 6 to age 13) which can then be followed up to GCSE and A level. We welcome people of all backgrounds and have excellent native speaking Farsi teachers.
By promoting Iranian culture through its array of cultural events throughout the year, we aim to strengthen our students' knowledge and promote deeper understanding about their cultural heritage.
