TINY CROCHETED FEATHER

Materials: Knit-Cro-Sheen in the color of your choice. Steel crochet hook # 7. Assorted embellishments. This can be used to decorate cloths or you can use them to make earrings and necklaces….whatever you wish.

 

FIRST SIDE:

Ch 11; sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook; 1 sc in the next ch; 1 hdc in the next ch; 1 dc in the next ch--ch 2--sl st back in the same st; ch 2; 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch’s--ch 2--sl st back in the same st; ch 2; 1 dc in each of the next 4 ch’s--ch 2--sl st back in the same st;

Ch 7; sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook; 1 sl st in each ch back to the body of the feather.

SECOND SIDE:

Now you will be working in the other side of the ch’s.

Ch 2, 1 hdc in the same st; 1 hdc in each of the next 2 ch’s--ch 2--sl st back in the same st; ch 1; 1 hdc in each of the next 3 ch’s--ch 1--sl st back in the same st; ch 1; 1 sc in each ch up to the last; sl st in last ch--try to catch the thread at the very tip and sl st in that also. Break off and weave in the ends.

VARIEATIONS ON THE SECOND SIDE:

Ch 2; 1 hdc in the same st; 1 hdc in each of the next 5 ch’s--ch 2--sl st back in the same st; ch 1; 1 hdc in the next ch; 1 sc in the next ch; sl st to the end. Break off and weave in the ends.

Ch 2; 1 hdc in the same st; 1 hdc in each of the next 2 ch’s--ch 2--sl st back in the same st; ch 2; 1 hdc in each of the next 4 ch’s--ch 2--sl st back in the same st; 1 sc in each of the next 2 ch’s; sl st in the last ch--try to catch the thread at the very tip and sl st in that also. Break off and weave in the ends.
