TINY ANGEL FISH

MATERIALS:

One ball white (001) knit-cro-sheen crochet thread. No. 7 steel crochet hook. Note: Working from the inside this pattern will be worked on the back loops of each sc. As you crochet the wrong side of the work will be on the outside. You will not join the rnds, but mark the beginning of each rnd as you work.

RND 1:

Ch 3, 5 hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook. (6 hdc) NOTE: Remember DO NOT join the rnds, just mark the beg of each rnd, moving the marker each time you start a new rnd. NOTE: Work in back loops throughout. The next sc will be worked in the back loop of the top of the ch 3 --- forming a circle.

RND 2:

2 sc in each hdc around. (12 sc)

RND 3:

1 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)

RND 4:

2 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)

RND 5:

1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)

RND 6:

1 sc in each of the next 6 sc, "[sl st, ch 2, 1 hdc in the next sc],[2 dc in each of the next 2 sc], [2 tr in each of the next 2 sc], [2 dc in each of the next 2 sc], [1 hdc, ch 2, sl st in the next sc]" {{large top fin}}, 1 sc in each of the next 6 sc, "[sl st, ch 2, 1 hdc in the next sc], [1 dc, 1 tr in the next sc], [1 tr, 1 dc in the next sc], [1 hdc, ch 2, sl st in the next sc]" {{small bottom fin}}.

RND 7:

1 sc in each of the next 6 sc (flatten the fish together now), Skip the fin, 1 sc in each of next 6 sc.

RND 8:

Skip the fin, work 1 sc dec over next 2 sc’s, around. (6 sc)

RND 9:

Sl st in the next sc, "[Ch 2, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 2 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, ch 2, sl st in the same sc] {{small bottom tail fin}}, "[sl st, ch 2, 1 hdc in the next sc], [2 dc in the next sc], [4 tr in the next sc], [2 dc in the next sc], [1 hdc, ch 2, sl st in the next sc]" {{large top tail fin}}, sl st back into the beginning sl st and break off. Weave in the loose ends.

Note:
You can work this fish with two different colors as such. Rnd 1 and 2 with yellow. Rnds 3 and 4 in black. Rnds 5 and 6 with both yellow and black. Rnds 7, 8 and 9 with yellow. Do not break off each color just work over the one color that you are not using.
