HIGH TOP TENNIS SHOES FOR BARBIE DOLL

MATERIALS: Knit-Cro-Sheen, Small amount of light blue and white (or colors of your choice). Steel crochet hook # 7.
NOTE: You can use whatever colors or combinations you want, this is just a guide line of the colors I used for one pair.
SHOE (make 2)
Rnd 1: With light blue begin at heel and ch 8, sc in second ch from hook and each of next 5 ch’s, 3 sc in last ch, [now work up the other side of ch’s] sc in each of next 5 ch’s, 2 sc in the last ch, join with a sl st in the first sc. (16 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in back loops only, sc in each st, join.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in each of next 5 sc, [sc next 2 sc together] 3 times, sc in the remaining 5 sc, join. (13 sc)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in each of next 5 sc, sc next 2 sc together, sc in each sc to end, join. Fasten off. Weave in the loose ends.
Working from the inside of the shoe; count back from the right side of the sc where you broke off the thread.
Row 1: Attach white in 6th st from break off [so you can work over the front 4 sts], ch 1, sc in same st, sc in each of next 3 sts. (4 sc)
Rows 2-5: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each st. At the end of rnd 4, break off.
Working from the inside of the shoe; start on the left side.
Row 1: Attach white in same st as last sc of row 1 of tongue, ch 1, 1 sc in same st, 1 sc in each st to same st as first sc of row 1 of tongue, 1 sc in this st. (11 sc)
Rows 2-5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st. At the end of row 4, break off.
NOTE: You can make the sides taller or shorter as you wish.
Working from the outside of the shoe; start on the right side.
Row 6: Attach light blue in side of first sc, ch 1, sc up side around top and down the other side. Break off.
SOLE (make 2)
Rnd 1: With white, repeat rnd 1 of shoe.
NOTE: You can work both of these rnds or just the second rnd to make a shorter or taller sole.
Rnds 2-3: Work rnd 2 in the back loops only.
Ch 1, sc in each sc, join. At end of rnd 3, break off and weave in the loose ends. Sew or glue to the bottom of the shoe.
SHOE LACES (make 2)
With light blue, ch 80. Break off.
Weave in all loose ends. Weave shoe laces through sides as you would a regular shoe lace.
