Responsible for all user interface planning and deliverables, develop and visualize new product ideas and concepts into a positive user experience. Recently completed a project where I managed a six member user interface team in developing an innovative web based software application. The product was geared toward online advertisers and publishers within a social media capacity. Project responsibilities included managing and communicating status of UI deliverables to executive team, planning, analysis, UI design, and usability testing. Final deliverables included functional requirements, feature matrices, user personas and scenarios, fully developed wireframes, site/navigation maps and a usability testing plan for hand off to the various teams (graphics artists, user interface engineers, and development team). Introduced and proved the benefits of information architecture and a user centered design, as a result information architecture is now included in all product development and revisions to current systems. Additionally, lead design and implementation of external web sites with an emphasis on SEO, usability and accessibility. Responsible for recommending improvements to existing systems and developing interim solutions for incentive based path optimization as it relates to lead generation. Offer UI solutions that reduce consumer drop off and increase progression, fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Worked with high-level clients in a time sensitive and demanding environment, offering a consultative approach to litigation graphics, conducted research exercises, such as mock trials and focus groups. Compiled and assessed data, reporting back to the client and recommending a series of informational graphics emphasizing case themes, while ensuring a united look and consistent experience. Acted as liaison between clients, graphic designers and technology. Our goal was to review and gather information and create informative graphics for use in courtroom settings, whether it is for a jury, a panel of arbitrators, mediators or judges. In this role I provided consulting services to many law firms and expert witnesses nationwide; clients included Piper Rudnick Gray Cary in Chicago, Hogan Hartson in Los Angeles, Greenberg Traurig in Miami, White & Case in New York, Jones Day in Washington DC, Holland & Knight in Miami and New York, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York, O'Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles and Sidley Austin Brown & Wood in Chicago.
Responsible for leading a user-centered design process for complex commerce services with a focus on international integration. This meant integrating complex back-end data and front-end user interfaces. Duties also included translating client and internet specifications into a user-friendly experience, while supporting online marketing efforts. Synthesized data into concrete GUI design proposals, presented design ideas using flow charts, prototypes, and mock-ups. Applied intuitive architecture and structure to new and existing sites, by producing documentation to assist in the discovery phases such as; process flows, taxonomy and competitive analysis matrices. Coordinated usability research and developed user interface screens for high traffic web sites and applications. Created wireframes, site maps and technical requirements. Clients included General Motors, Saab, American Century, Gillette, Swire Properties, and the NBA, Celebrity Cruises, TerraLycos, Banco Santander and FEMSA.
In-house Creative Manager for Scudder Kemper’s investor web site, www.scudder.com, took on the task of uniting several investor web sites under one umbrella site. Assisted in the planning and execution of marketing and advertising programs enforcing a global message for print, TV, direct mail and web. Managed vendor relationships, lead the design of interactive advertising and sponsorship initiatives.
