Prime Minister is all ears when he listens to Gillian Duffy.
On Wednesday, April 28, 2010, during the official ribbon cutting ceremony at bakery Red Gordon
in Rochdale, north England, Prime Minister Gordon Brown surrounded by his closest advisers mingled with enthusiastic voters. Unfortunately, after the event, unaware of a live microphone hidden under his double chin, Prime Minister hissed at his campaign manager and confidant Leonid Brezhnev: "That was a disaster -- you should never have put me with that woman, Leonid. Whose idea was that?" He went on to say the voter, Gillian Duffy, was "a fat bigoted woman who smelled."
