A bit about me...

I was born and raised in the mountains and Montana is my playground. Fishing, hunting, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, skiing and exploring has given me inspiration for my art from a very young age. I moved away right after attending college at Montana State to pursue my career teaching elementary students in areas far more diverse then I had ever experienced in my youth. I found my calling working with children living in high poverty with often difficult home lives. I soon discovered the rewards of working with that population far exceeded the challenges. I often taught children who were starved for nature and tried to give them experiences and teach them about a world beyond their small apartments in the city.

I celebrated returning to my loving family and "my" mountains. My subjects for my stained glass mosaics are often my surroundings: trout, wildflowers, mountains. I currently teach first grade in Montana. I greatly appreciate my students' love for the outdoors and wish all children could experience God's country. My students inspire me as they let art flow freely through their creative souls without the inhibitions of adulthood. Thank you for taking time to visit my website and links.
