Holly Jin
drick Joubert, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist/Owner & Director
 
Dr. Joubert is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist. She accepts forensic and court-ordered assessment cases. She is a Certified Forensic Evaluator for Pima County Superior Court, is a certified clinical trauma professional with CPT training, and is certified as a trainer in Aggression Replacement Therapy. 

Clinically, Dr. Joubert provides assessment, individual, family, and group therapy for children, teens, and adults. She specializes in trauma, performance, obsessive compulsive disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, sexual problems, assessment, sleep disorders, and health-related concerns. 

Dr. Joubert is the founder of Sunlight Center for Change, L.L.C. A licensed psychologist, she received her doctorate in clinical and forensic psychology from the University of Denver. Raised in Tucson, she is also a University of Arizona Wildcat who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Musical Theatre. Dr. Joubert is a past president for the Southern Arizona Psychological Association board. She is a member of SAPA, AzPA, and the APA. Her former professional positions have included Manager of the psychology department at Sierra Tucson, Training Director for the Student Program at Sierra Tucson, Executive and Clinical Director at Vision Quest, and Clinical Supervisor at the Youth Development Institute.  



Lindsay Roten
Office Manager
Lindsay Roten is a graduate from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors degree in Physiology. She has been working in the medical field for over five years and enjoys working closely with medical personnel. After having her son last year, Lindsay plans to go back to school and become a Pediatric Nurse. She loves being around children and wants to bring the care and devotion she provides for her son to other families. Lindsay is always willing to help answer any questions and works hard to provide excellent service.


Sue Dolence, LCSW
Therapist

Sue Dolence, LCSW has worked in the field of social services and behavioral health for the past 16 years. Sue feels the most important element in healing comes from a genuine, empathic relationship with those she serves. She utilizes a strengths-based approach and believes that all people have the capacity to overcome their struggles, with the right tools in place.

Throughout her career, Sue has worked in social service agencies in both Ohio and Arizona serving a variety of people, including teenagers, adults, families and older adults. Most recently, Sue worked for the Southern Arizona Veteran’s Affairs Healthcare System, where she provided individual and group therapy to Veterans. Sue has been trained in many of the evidence-based therapies and specializes in the “cognitive” therapies, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, STAIR/Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Sue specializes in utilizing these therapies to help individuals who struggle with mood disorders, trauma (emotional, physical, sexual, combat) and sleep disorders.

 Sue extends her passion for helping others to social workers who are moving into the profession. Sue is a Faculty Affiliate at Arizona State University’s School of Social Work, where she teaches graduate-level courses. In addition, she has developed and implemented several training/consultation programs for Social Workers already in practice who are looking to sharpen their skills.

Sue is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Arizona is 2001 on a search for sunshine and better weather! She is a nature-lover and finds peace hiking in the mountains.



Alison Paules-Rettew, Psy.D. 
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Paules-Rettew is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive training in both assessment and psychotherapy f

or individuals throughout the lifespan. As a recent Pennsylvania transplant, Dr. Paules-Rettew comes to us with more than 12 years of experience in the mental health field, including experience working in inpatient, outpatient, community mental health, forensic, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and medical settings. She maintains licensure in both Pennsylvania and Arizona. Her areas of expertise include mood and behavior disorders, aging and cognitive changes, TB

I and cognitive disorders, pain management, coping with chronic illness, and families and relationships, including parental skill-building, brief family therapy, and court-ordered family services.Dr. Paules-Rettew is also experienced in behavioral treatment planning for a range of clinical conditions, including Autism, cognitive disorders, and a range of disruptive behaviors.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that therapy is most effective when it offers the individual the opportunity to first explore change in a safe, nonjudgmental setting. Her therapeutic approach is integrative in nature, as it draws from humanistic, interpersonal, existential, and cognitive-behavior perspectives.  As a therapist, Dr. Paules-Rettew draws upon the client's strengths and innate desire to strive for personal growth. Common aspects of therapy often include identifying relevant and meaningful goals, drawing upon the power of the therapeutic relationship, collaborating to understand the nature of the issues and the necessary steps to change, and skill-building. Dr. Paules-Rettew empowers her clients to overcome their hurdles and confidently continue with their journey beyond therapy.

In terms of assessment, Dr. Paules-Rettew offers a range of evaluations, including those related to aging and cognitive changes, development and intellectual functioning, personality patterns, psychiatric symptoms, and health behaviors, including those pertaining to pre-bariatric surgery. She also offers court-ordered evaluations. 

Beyond traditional therapy and assessment skills, Dr. Paules-Rettew enjoys offering consultation and brief workshops for those working in a variety of settings, including education, health care, law enforcement, and rehabilitation centers.


Scott Padilla, Psy.D. 
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Padilla received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology in Washington DC in 2011. He joined Sunlight Center for Change in July 2017.

Dr. Padilla provides individualized strategies to his clients so that they may overcome struggles related to depression, anxiety, self-injury, trauma, challenges within a relationship, and structural difficulties within the home. His specialty is working with teens and young adults, and also enjoys working with couples and groups.


Dr. Padilla is committed to joining his clients where they are and working together to get where they want to go. Striving to create a relaxed environment where establishing trust and building the therapeutic relationship can happen as quickly and naturally as possible. Dr. Padilla's goal is to empower his clients and help them discover the tools they need in order to overcome obstacles and find balance in their lives. 




Kasey Taylor, RD
Nutritionist

Kasey Taylor worked at Sierra Tucson Rehab Center for over two years where she worked with eating disorders including anorexia nervous, bulimia nervous, binge eating disorders, over eating disorders, weight loss, food intolerance and healthy eating plans.  She has also worked in California as Nutrition Consultant, Nutritionist for an Arizona Medical Spa and weight loss center, and University of Arizona Student Union Dietitian. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Arizona and completed Registered Dietetic Internship at Touro Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has been a Licensed Registered Dietitian since 2002 and received Certification of Adult Weight Management of American Dietetic Association in 2004.  Kasey personally suffers from IBS and manages her symptoms with gluten free diet due to gluten sensitivity and enjoys a healthy active lifestyle with weight training, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and running. Kasey has participated in mini-triathlons, half marathons, and a full marathon. Nutrition can play in important role in training and muscle recovery for active adult lifestyle. Kasey can work with eating disorders management, food allergies, food sensitivity, elimination diets, gastrointestinal disorders, pre-post natal nutrition, adolescents and teen nutrition, sports nutrition, cardiovascular health management, vegan, vegetarian, health eating, meal planning, and weight loss management.


Jeneane Knote
Front Office Administration

Jeneane Knote was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Tucson, AZ in 1989. She went to work for Amity Circle Tree Ranch as an Executive Assistant to the Executive Director from 1989-1995. In 1995 she began working for North American Enterprises, an import/export company, where she was the Executive Assistant to the Owner/President from 1995-2001. In 2001 she went to work for the Southern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), Community Partnership of Southern Arizona (CPSA), as an Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director/COO. Her most recent employment was for a Service of Process/Private Investigations firm, In Sight Solutions, where she was the Office Manager from 2004-2016. 

Jeneane is blessed with a very beautiful and intelligent daughter who is current attending Pima Community College and will soon receive her degree in Education. She also lives with and cares for her mother who she enjoys spending time with. Together they have two dogs and two cats that are also considered a very important part of their family.
