Events & Projects

Making our Community a Better Place to Live and Work, by using art to fuel ideas  and innovation.
The following are selected projects and events related to the Lake Marion Artisans, the town of Summerton, and the surrounding community. All of our projects are funded by sales of our work (artists donate a portion of each sale to our non-profit Art Gallery) and by the generous donations from our community.
We greatly appreciate the many tax-deductable donations from supporters that help us continue to fund a variety of local community projects. If you would like to donate to our organization, mail your contribution to the Lake Marion Artisans, PO Box 541, Sumerton, SC 29148 - or you can go donate using our PayPal account Lakemarionartisans@paypal.com  We sincerely appreciate your continuing support.

Our largest community project to date was the Summerton Health Fair, held July 29, 2017, from 10 am-2 pm at the Old Historic Scotts Branch High School, 1154 Fourth Street in downtown Summerton, SC. Sponsored by Clarendon One Resource Center, Hope Health, Walmart Vision Center and Lake Marion Artisans, the Health Fair offered health screenings, educational materials and community resources for members of Summerton and the surrounding community. Over 100 adults and children attended the Fair, taking advantage of free health and vision screening. Some 25 organizations were represented, with 40 exhibitors attending. In addition to the sponsors above, we received monetary donations from Short Trip Convenience Stores, Bank of Clarendon, First Citizens of Summerton, Agape Hospice, Clarendon Women's Shelter and several individuals. Muffins and cookies were provided by St. Matthias Women's Organization.   PLEASE VISIT OUR FACEBOOK PAGE TO SEE MORE PHOTOS AND ARTICLES ABOUT THIS HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL EVENT.
