Sumer Sethi, MD is an eminent Radiologist, Entrepreneur, Blogger, Innovator, TedX Speaker and motivator, who has not only done pioneering work in his field, but has mentored lakhs of medical graduates in the last two decades. Unique blend of academic excellence and entrepreneurship, heading leading firms in India- TeleRad Providers, company that provides teleradiology services in India and DAMS (Delhi Academy of Medical Sciences) Premier test preparation institute in India for MD/MS/MCI/USMLE preparation. To his credit is DAMS, unique country wide class room programme with many first's in the industry -like Tablet based learning called as iDAMS and use of web 2.0 technologies in medical education and radiology. He is the pioneer for medical tele-education in India and using Satellite technology, DAMS has recently launched DAMS SKY. eMedicoz is leading eLearning initiative, mobile app available in both android and iOS with over 3 lac downloads and medical education centric platform is his latest brainchild.

1. EARLY LIFE
Born in 1976 in Benghazi, Libya when his father Dr SC Sethi was posted their on deputation. Did his schooling from Maharaja Agrasen Model School, Pitam Pura. He demonstrated leadership capability from school and was head boy of his school, and later on President of Resident Doctor Association in Lady Hardinge Medical College (2004-2006).
2. CAREER
2.1 EDUCATION
Dr Sumer K Sethi secured AIR 4 in All India Under-graduate Medical Entrance Examination and did MBBS from the highly reputed Maulana Azad Medical College (1994-2000) followed by one-year compulsory rotatory internship (1999-2000) there and associated Lok Nayak Hospital, GB Pant Hospital, Guru Nanak Eye Center, New Delhi, India. He secured Rank 12 in AIIMS PG, 2000 and AIR 4 in All India Post-graduate Medical Entrance Examination. Driven by his passion and vision, he opted post-graduate residency program in MD Radiodiagnosis in Lady Hardinge Medical College (2000-2003). He worked as a Registrar (2003-2006) in the department of Radiology , Lady Hardinge Medical College and associated Smt. Sucheta Kriplani Saran Hospital, New Delhi, India. He has worked as consultant Radiologist in various hospitals in Delhi including Indian Spinal Injuries Centre and VIMHANS, before taking the full time entrepreneur role.
2.2 ACADEMIC HONORS AND AWARDS
Dr. Sethi receiving Digital Bharat Award for his website Telerad Providers in 2015.
He has been featured as one of the Radiology Top 25 most influential in RT Image magazine for 2007. He was included in Iconic Doctors list by Dailyrounds 2016. He has been awarded Shri ML Garg Memorial Medal for the Best Senior Resident in Radiology in 2004. He has a keen interest in Web 2.0 technologies and in maintaining his famous radiology blog, Sumer's Radiology blog running since 2004 which has been featured in multiple international journals including Journal of Thoracic Imaging .His blog won the Best Clinical Sciences Weblog-2005 by Medgadget.com. In 2017-2019, he was one of the semifinalists in Top Radiology Educators on Aunt Minnie.com.
He has also been an invited faculty member at various conferences, including Teleradiology in IRIA 2008 & 2011,13,14 Hospital Build Middle East, and Congress of the Brain Tumor Radiology in Neuro-oncology Society. He has been visiting international faculty member of Tripoli Universities, Libya. In 2012, IRIA he was invited to speak on Entrepreneurship in Radiology. In 2019 & 2020 IRIA conference, he spoke about Radiology educational changes required for the new generation.
Dr. Sethi is Editor-in-Chief of Internet Journal of Radiology.
2.3 CURRENT ROLES
Dr Sumer Sethi is the key person behind Delhi Academy of Medical Sciences Pvt Ltd. which is India's largest test prep company with 250+ centres across the country. Popularly called as DAMS, it offers courses for Medical PG entrance (NEETPG, NEXT) and Dental Post graduate entrance examinations. Recently it has also started courses for USMLE aspirants and PLAB.
He is also the Founder of TeleRad Providers, with a mission to provide Remote radiology reporting in various parts of the country where expertise is not available. He is one of the pioneers of Teleradiology in India.
His brain child eMedicoz app is medical and dental education centric mobile app with various eLearning modules and lectures for Doctors. Courses available in the app range from NEETPG to NEETSS, and includes free medical education teaching videos and a social media platform for interaction for doctors and medical students.

In 2019, Dr Sumer Sethi donated through Delhi Academy Of Medical Sciences Rs.75 lakh towards contribution to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. In 2020, he donated 1 crore to the PM Cares Fund for Covid-19 pandemic through Delhi Academy Of Medical Sciences.
