How to make "Guest of Owner" reservations

We have turned over management of the cabin to Oregon Beach Vacations. We still want the cabin to be easily available to friends and family, but we no longer want the responsibility of cleaning the cabin and performing day-to-day maintenance. If you are a member of the Sullivan or Diviney families -- or are a close family friend -- you can use the beach cabin as a Guest of Owner by following this simple four-step process:

• Step 1: Go to Oregon Beach Vacations and use their calendar to choose the start and stop dates that you'd like to use Sullishak. Then click "Book Now" to confirm whether your desired dates are actually available -- but do not actually fill out your contact information or proceed forward with payment.

• Step 2: Click on the small question mark next to the Total bill, as shown in the following hypothetical example of a four-night stay:

• • • You should now see an expanded Summary of Fees, as shown below:

• • • As a Guest of Owner, you won't pay Rent, a Reservation Fee or Taxes. But because the cabin will be professionally cleaned when you leave, you will need to send us a check for the Cleaning Fee. Because it costs more to clean the cabin during busy summer months than the winter, you should go through the first two steps each time you want to use the cabin to find out what the Cleaning Fee will be.

• Step 3: Next, send an email message to Dave (drdavesullivan@gmail.com) or Barb (barbaraksullivan@yahoo.com) asking for a Guest of Owner reservation. Be sure to tell us what days you'd like to use the cabin and include your current phone number(s) so everyone will know how to reach you easily. If you have been offered a Guest of Owner stay by someone other than Dave or Barb (say for example, Glade Divinery offers a Guest of Owner stay to his close friend), then make sure you explain how you received the Guest of Owner offer. Then, Dave or Barb will use our Owner Portal to the Oregon Beach Vacations website to place your reservation.

• Step 4: Enjoy your stay at the family beach cabin! And best of all, when you arrive, the cabin will have been professionally cleaned and ready for your use, and when you leave, you won't have to wash sheets or otherwise clean up -- that will be done automatically by the good folks at Oregon Beach Vacations. One other change is worth noting: the cabin now has formal check-in and check-out times. Check-in begins at 4 p.m., and check-out is at 11 a.m.
