Two quick goals gave the Tullyallen team an early lead. The second half was just as tight as the first with neither team able to pull away. Evan English and Brian Mooney were terrific workers in midfield while in defence Dylan Floyd, James Russell and Scott Murphy were resilient for the Emmets. While upfront Alan Mc Grane, Sean Birch and Sam Kenny scraped for every ball that came their way earning two frees for their troubles which were scored by the Emmets to build up a lead.

Late on Sean O Mahonys made a late press in which they scored 1-1 but it would have been lot more if it wasn’t for the fine defending of Conor Branigan and the outstanding goalkeeping of Isaac Walsh.
